Meet Dr. McCarty


     Dr. McCarty has been in practice for 30 years.  During the last 15  years he has been limited to treating non-surgical TMJ disorders, Craniofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine.  He also works closely as needed with TMJ surgeons, physical therapist, chiropractors, neurologist, ENTs, and sleep doctors.  He has been involved heavily in all aspects of the TMD field serving as President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Craniofacial Pain.  He specializes in non-surgical TMJ problems and dental sleep medicine.  He is board certified by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine.  Outside of the office he is busy with his family including wife and four kids, two of which are in college and two still teenagers at home.  Dr. McCarty grew up in Weatherford Texas, graduated from Abilene Christian University and Baylor Dental College, which is now part of the Texas A&M system in Dallas.  He occasionally has speaking engagements, and he was actively involved as an instructor for the AACP Craniofacial Pain Institute for 10 years.  He has a Christian faith and attempts to speak truthfully to each patient and treat them to the best of his ability regardless of their background.
